Cuban Embassy in the Bahamas commemorates Fidel’s legacy

Nassau, November 25, 2021. At the Cuban Embassy in The Bahamas, a tribute was paid to Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz on the occasion of the 5th Anniversary of his passage to immortality. The homage to his life and legacy prevailed in the interventions and audiovisual materials exhibited.

The Ambassador, Julio César González Marchante, in his opening words, talk of the life and work of Fidel, highlighting his humanist, solidarity, anti-imperialist and internationalist character, as well as the legacy for the peoples who fight for a better world, of peace, equality and opportunities.

African students graduated from Cuba, as part of the grateful ones, highlighted their gratitude to Fidel and the Cuban Revolution and expressed the unconditional support of their peoples for the struggle to lift the blockade imposed by the US government to the Isle.

Alex Morley, on behalf of a group of solidarity friends, remarked the role that Fidel played in the struggle for the liberation of the African peoples and his support to the countries of the Caribbean Community.

Cuban residents, Bahamian friends and collaborators of the education and health brigades were also present at the activity.
