Cuban Ambassador met with Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, Alejandro Simancas Marín, was received on Tuesday by the Deputy Chief Minister of the National Capital Territory (NTC) of Delhi, Manish Sisodia, in order to explore the possibilities of cooperation in the economic-commercial, health and education fields. Both parties agreed on the deep bonds of friendship that unite India and Cuba, as well as the need to work together to strengthen them, particularly between the capitals of both countries.

Ambassador Simancas also handed over a formal request to the NTC Government of Delhi to inaugurate a space in the capital named after the National Hero of Cuba, José Martí, as part of the day in honor of the 170th anniversary of his birth.

The Cuban diplomat in turn extended an invitation to Deputy Chief Manish Sisodia to visit Cuba, extended to the head of the Government of the Indian capital, Arvind Kejriwal.
