Cuba to implement new measures to control Covid-19 outbreak

Havana, Apr 7 (Prensa Latina) An array of measures to control the Covid-19 outbreak in Cuba will be soon implemented, Prime Minister Manuel Marrero said Tuesday.
The proposal will be submitted coming Thursday for consideration by the temporary working group, headed by President Miguel Díaz-Canel, to fight the disease.
Once passed, Cuban people will be immediately informed, Marrero stated in a meeting with scientists and experts deeply involved in the national fight against the pandemic.
The plan, submitted on Tuesday by José Ángel Portal, minister of Public Health, forecasts steps to be conducted by several entities. It is aimed at reinforcing organizational measures in shops and avoiding overcrowding for staples.
Likewise, the plan proposes to continue stimulating teleworking and remote work, and reorganizing working activity in order to reduce the number of people at workplaces.
