Arbejderen, publishes critical approach of the Cuban Ambassador in Denmark

The face of truth.

The events that occurred on July 11 in Cuba reveal the purpose of the powerful North American empire to provoke a change in the system in the rebellious Caribbean Island.

The damages and losses of the impact of the cruelest economic, commercial and financial blockade, denounced 28 times in the United Nations General Assembly, are not enough, but now, in the conditions aggravated by the SARS-CoVid-19 pandemic, the United States used as a perfect ally for political purposes.

The more than 243 measures adopted by the Trump Administration remain in effect. Its impact has been so brutal that it has impeded the normal functioning of the economy, limited our income, affected our exports, and blocked access to the supplies necessary for the proper functioning of the health system.

The inhumane handling of this policy is reflected in the shortage of essential products for the consumption of the Cuban population, in the difficulty of acquiring the fuel necessary to maintain electricity and, therefore fully meet the demands of our population.

A plan that is twinned with the memorandum of the ex-Deputy Secretary of State, Lester D. Mallory, when since 1960, he sought to weaken the economic life of Cuba, using hunger and despair as tools to provoke the overthrow of the Cuban government.

In the events that occurred, some acted with anger, but many others were responsible for vandalism and violence with attacks on civilians and police officers, causing damage to institutions and shopping centers, with the firm purpose of creating disorder and promoting riots, which are the practical result of a plan designed by the United States to exert pressure against Cuba.

But it is no coincidence. The country has been the victim of a media campaign that grew out of accounts based in North America. The hashtag #SOSCuba allows us to distinguish that the protests were encouraged as part of the fourth generation war that the United States Government has rehearsed against Cuba.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, accused the United States government that the company in charge of generating the label received a certificate to act with state funds, as part of the unconventional war against our country.

It is no secret that in February 2018, following instructions from the then President of the United States, Donald Trump, the Internet Working Group for Subversion in Cuba was created, subordinate to the CIA.

The purpose is to dominate Cuban cyberspace and move to a higher level in the subversion strategy against the Cuban Revolution. A propaganda crusade to demonize the adversary and thus justify their destruction, as they have done in so many parts of the world.

The dirty maneuver of “heating the street” comes into play, as the Gene Sharp manual indicates precisely, and that in the case of Cuba generated actions such as those that occurred before in the San Isidro neighborhood, or the provocations in front of the Ministry of Culture and other institutions.

Cuba has the right to defend its sovereignty. Any attempt to disturb the peace or public order will have a response within the framework of our laws.

Those who have been detained for the riots, none of them for acting peacefully, will face the judicial processes established by our legal system.

Among the detainees, a group has already been released because it has been confirmed that they have not had any criminal involvement. Others are under a precautionary measure and there are defendants with a file in the preparatory phase, with a precautionary measure of provisional imprisonment.

In Cuba there are no disappeared or tortured, nor will there be. There is and will not be a place for impunity, nor laws or regulations that protect it. Everything will be investigated always acting within the framework of the law.

It is inadmissible to allow outside incitements to rebellion, assassination, sabotage, or terrorist actions, which encourage the defense of military aggression against Cuba, which would have unforeseeable consequences for regional peace and security.

President Biden should show interest in changing the policies that favor any type of hostility towards Cuba, and with his signature, he could modify fundamental aspects of the blockade. He could urge Congress to lift the blockade. He could suspend the application of Title III of the Helms-Burton Act. He could take action about the difficulties imposed on Cuba in acquiring medical supplies to fight COVID-19.

Cuba has the right to demand today that the United States end the aggression, the millionaire financing of political subversion, and the continuous actions of political and media manipulation.

The President of the United States must listen to the Cuban people who demand the end of the blockade, to the 400 signatories in favor of the lifting of sanctions against Cuba, as published by “The New York Times”, and the claim of the United Nations to stop an outdated practice that violates the norms of international law and the human rights of an entire people.

We are assisted by the sovereign right to exercise self-determination without foreign interference, to guarantee citizen peace and tranquility, and to defend the stability and security of the Nation, against the hegemonic plans of a power that intends to interfere in our destinies
