Ambassador of Cuba attended the presentation of exclusive Habano for Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur, April 9, 2021- Florentino Batista Gonzalez, Ambassador of Cuba in Malaysia, was the guest of honor this Thursday at the launch of a new cigar named San Cristóbal de La Habana Harimau Malaya, a first exclusive edition for this country of the Southeast Asian.

The Pacific Cigar company, the Asian distributor of Cuban cigars, officially launched the new extra robust tobacco which is limited to 8,888 cases and whose epithet, Harimau Malaya, refers to the well-known Malaysian Tiger in the local language.

The Cuban ambassador intervened on the occasion to refer to the history of the world-famous Cuban tobacco, while wishing that this would be the first of many similar launches that bring Cuban leaves to lovers in the region.

The presentation, which took place at La Casa Del Habano in Kuala Lumpur, was attended by Serena Ong, Malaysian National Manager for Pacific Cigar, and Jonathan Chow from Cohiba Atmosphere, who took the opportunity to explain the long tradition of this country associated with admiration for Cuban tobacco.

The event was also attended by cigar lovers online, while Dag Holmboe, CEO of Pacific Cigar Company addressed attendees via Zoom from Hong Kong.

Harimau Malaya, the first edition of Malaysia Cigar, is a vitola selected by Habanos SA in 2020 that in its 2020 Regional Edition is already available to fans in Asia and carries the standard band of San Cristóbal de la Habana and a second red and white that identifies the regional edition, exclusive to Malaysia.
