17th EXPOCARIBE International Trade Fair from June 23-26, 2022. Article published in The Lead Newspaper

The Santiago de Cuba People’s Power Provincial Government, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Investment and the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Cuba are pleased to announce that the 17th EXPOCARIBE International Trade Fair will be taking place from June 23-26, 2022, at the Heredia Cultural Center, in person or online depending on the health situation.

Deeply rooted in the tradition of the city of Santiago de Cuba, EXPOCARIBE resumed in 2019 to provide both domestic and foreign shareholders with the opportunity to share their business portfolios —consisting of products, services and new technologies—, help identify and consolidate business interests, and also to enhance economic and commercial complementarity agreements among Caribbean countries and with other regions across the globe. EXPOCARIBE is a space to attract foreign investment —mainly to Cuban eastern provinces—, promote exports and import substitution and close deals in priority sectors, under the programme to update Cuba’s Economic Model.

Professionalism and competitiveness feature as pillars of trade commitments among state-run and private businesses in times of challenging global economic complexities, exacerbated by the Covid-19 pandemic, which further complicates the situation and thus requires finding alternative solutions to various problems that may arise.

Event information will appear on EXPOCAR-IBE’s website: www.expocaribe.cu. The hospitable and warm city of Santiago de Cuba, Heroic City of the Republic of Cuba, awaits you.
