Ministers Joly and Ng to go to North American Leaders’ Summit

The summit will bring together leaders from Canada, Mexico and the United States, and will focus on trade, competition and economic development, as well as diversity and inclusion, environment change and the environment, immigration and development, health and security. The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Foreign Affairs; and the Honourable Mary Ng, Minister of International Business, Export Promotion, Small Business plus Economic Development, today declared that they will accompany Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to the American Leaders’ Summit in South america City, Mexico, on January 10, 2023. Minister Ng will meet with Raquel Buenrostro, Mexico’s Secretary of Economic climate, to discuss important bilateral business issues. She will also build relationships members of the business community, including representatives of the Canadian Technology Accelerator in Mexico and women entrepreneurs, to explore ways to enhance cooperative attempts in North America. The Minister will further underline Canada’s commitment to strengthening United states competitiveness, which supports strong and stable middle course jobs in our 3 countries. January six, 2023 – Ottawa, Ontario – Global Affairs Canada Minister Joly will deepen discussions with her counterparts from the United States and Mexico on global and local issues, including in relation to Ukraine, Haiti and Venezuela. They will also discuss shared focal points, including democracy in the Americas and collaboration to advance feminist foreign policies.
