Mrs. Aline NDUWAMARIYA the working manager ai of the Embassy of Burundi in Paris indicated that this meeting is organized with the aim of bringing together the young burundians living in Paris to present them the general situation of Burundi and encourage them to contribute to the development from the country.
In collaboration with young Burundians living in Paris, the Embassy of Burundi in Paris organized a meeting on saturday february 25, 2023 under the theme: “the key role of a young burundian in changing the world.”
The young people present in the activity have agreed with the officials of the Embassy to respond massively each time the Country and the Embassy need their intervention according to their skills. More than fifty (50) young people responded to this meeting which took place in “KIRUNDI” to encourage young people to preserve Burundian culture. By way of illustration, the meeting was opened by a session to discuss proverbs and adages “rundi in the form of games (Ibisokozo, imyibutsa, Insiguro y’amazina bita mu kirundi, etc.)
The activity took place at the right time because on the same day, in Burundi, the demonstration marches were organized throughout the country to support and congratulate His Excellency General Major Evariste NDAYISHIMIYE “Friend of young people” who had just been designated Champion of the African Union for the promotion of the Peace and Security Program in Africa.
A few young people who had just stayed in Burundi testified about the current situation prevailing in the country, contrary to what some critics write on social networks against Burundi. They invited their compatriots to visit Burundi to prove the reality on the ground.
