The Representative of the German parliamentary delegation, Mr. Manuel Hagel Mdl praised the way in which they were welcomed. He indicated that the Federal Republic of Germany is satisfied with the good reports that the Ambassador refers them on the situation in Burundi and he encouraged the Government of Burundi to continue in the same way.
Mr. Ferdinand BASHIKAKO indicated that security reigns throughout the national territory and that the population wanders normally to daily activities. He added that the Government of Burundi endeavors for the development of the country and the well-being of the population. He thus invited the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany to support the Government of Burundi in other development sectors in addition to their usual support. He indicated that Burundi is open to cooperation with its partners in all sectors.
On wednesday august 17, 2023, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation, Mr. Ferdinand BASHIKAKO received in audience a German parliamentary delegation led by Mr. Dieter Reinl, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Burundi .
Mr. Hagel Mdl thanked the Government of Burundi for its effort to develop the country. He reassured that the Federal Republic of Germany is ready to support Burundi in other development sectors.
The Permanent Secretary welcomed the German parliamentary delegation and wished them a good time in the country. He pointed out that Burundi and the Federal Republic of Germany maintain good relations and that the Government of Burundi appreciates the achievements of the Federal Republic of Germany in the country.
