The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation carries out an official mission to Cairo

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation H.E Amb. Albert SHINGIRO has been carrying out a working mission in the Arab Republic of Egypt, since Monday, September 6, 2021.

In the context of warming up relations between Burundi and Egypt, the Minister Albert SHINGIRO met, on September 7, 2021, his counterpart Amb.Sameh Shoukry, in a working session.

 

In the Egyptian-Burundian consultation session, the Burundian and Egyptian delegations discussed aspects of strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries and coordinating their positions on various regional issues of common interest.

During a press briefing, the two foreign Ministers of Burundi and Egypt Amb. Albert SHINGIRO and Amb.Sameh Shoukry, reiterated their shared desire to further warm up ties of friendship and cooperation between their countries.

Note that the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation is going to continue his work mission by participating in the Egyptian Forum for the International Cooperation and  Development Funding, which is taking place in Cairo from 8 to 9 of September 2021.
