On Saturday February 3, 2024, the Ambassador of Burundi to the United States, His Excellency Mr. Jean Bosco Barege joined with the Burundian businessmen organized an event under the theme “Burundi, the Oasis of Africa of the East”, in Washington DC. That event was prepared for involving the Burundi’s partners living abroad (in Washington DC) to collaborate and explore the opportunities for the mutual growth and prosperity. It is reminded that that event took place on the sidelines of the 72nd National Prayer Breakfast, an opportunity for the members of the Government to pray for their country, the President of the United States (whatever his party, or religious conviction) and other national and international personalities in the spirit of love and reconciliation. As usual, that event combines the prayer, the politics and the business. Economic diplomacy is active in the various projects in order to achieve the Vision of Burundi, the Emerging country in 2040, and the Developed country in 2060.
