The Ambassador of Burundi in Dar-Es-Salam presents the figured copies of his credentials

It should be noted that Burundi and Mozambique belong to the same international, regional and sub-regional organizations (UN, COMESA, AU, etc.) and establish de facto a certain political cooperation even if there is no signed agreement.

Infact, diplomatic contacts between the two countries are made through their respective Embassies in Pretoria, Dar-Es-Salaam, Addis Ababa, through their permanent representations in New York and Geneva or opportunity for both regional and international meetings.
It is in this context that on the sidelines of the work of the 2nd African Forum of Heads of State and Government held in Cape Town on July 10, 2006, the President of the Republic of Burundi at that time the late Pierre NKURUNZIZA, and Mr. Armando Emilio Guebuza, who was leading Mozambique, agreed to send a Mozambican delegation to Burundi to make a working visit in various areas of cooperation, in particular by giving Burundians the benefit of the Mozambican experience in matters of national reconciliation.
The Ambassador of Burundi in Dar-Es-Salam His Excellency Mr. Gervais Abayeho presented the figured copies of his credentials to His Excellency Mrs. Veronica Nataniel Macamo Dlhovo, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Mozambican Cooperation before the official presentation to His Excellency Mr. Felipe Nyusi, President of the Republic of Mozambique.
