His Excellency Albert SHINGIRO presents the annual achievements of the Ministry for the 2021-2022 year

The ultimate goal of the presentation of achievements is to show the National and International Community what the Ministry does on a daily basis, its achievements, its strengths, its weaknesses, its future prospects, its challenges, etc.
His speech was based on three lines of communication. Firstly, he highlighted the politico-diplomatic gains recorded by Burundi during the 2021-2022 year according to the guidelines of His Excellency Evariste NDAYISHIMIYE. Next, he took stock of the key actions carried out at the level of the Central Administration of the Ministry in accordance with the Annual Action Plan of the Ministry and the Annual Action Plan of the Government. And finally, he identified the main challenges facing the Department as well as future prospects.
On friday july 22, 2022, as usual, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation, His Excellency Ambassador Albert SHINGIRO, in a press conference he held in the great hall of the Ministry, presented to the National and International Community the major annual achievements of the Ministry for the 2021-2022 year, based on the Annual Action Plans of the Government and the Ministry as well as on the basis of creative initiatives outside the Action Plans.
Despite the challenges encountered, Minister Albert SHINGIRO said that they are satisfied with the results they have been able to achieve with the means and conditions available. He promised that they will intensify their efforts to maintain the dynamism of his teams in order to achieve the objectives of the Laborious and Responsible Government as much as possible. Is Excellence Albert SHINGIRO added that the Ministry will continue to work with dedication and determination in deepening relations of friendship and cooperation with the various partners of Burundi, in the search for new partners, in strengthening economic diplomacy based on: trade, foreign investment, technology transfer and infrastructure development through partnerships, in the effective dynamism of relations with the countries of the European Union with a view to strengthening relations with bilateral and multilateral partners and in improving the working conditions of the Ministry.
