Let us remind that CERDOTOLA is a Cultural and Scientific Institution that has been set up by African States for 45 years, with the mandate of collecting, developing, promoting and enhancing African cultures, which we call the traditions, but also the exploitation and documentation of the languages of Africa which are the vectors of the culture.
After the signing, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation announced that he was delighted with the establishment of this regional office in Burundi. He indicated that this establishment has advantages on two counts, namely the close collaboration between the Institution and the Government of Burundi so that Burundi’s efforts in the promotion of Culture and Scientific Research can be supported by the organization on the one hand, and allow Burundian citizens to have work within this organization on the other hand. He thus promised to work closely with the Executive Secretary of CERDOTOLA but also through the Representative of the Institution in Bujumbura.
In the evening the two parties and guests met at the Tanganyika Lake View Hotel to share a drink, in a good climate and wind from Lake Tanganyika.
