The Consul General of Bulgaria Angel Angelov attended a holly liturgy in Dormition of the Virgin Mary Church in Southampton, led by Metropolitan Anthony of Western and Central Europe and Protopresbyter Karloutsos in the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, in English, Bulgarian and Greek.
At the end of the liturgy, in the presence of Metropolitan Anthony, Protopresbyter Karloutsos presented the Bulgarian diplomat with a plaque, illustrated with a segment of the fresco of the Italian Renaissance artist Raphael “The School of Athens”. The same is depicted on the facade of the church in which the liturgy took place.
