Minister Teodora Genchovska welcomed the Ambassador of Montenegro Snežana Radović

Today, December 29, 2021, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Teodora Genchovska received the Ambassador of Montenegro to Bulgaria Snezana Radović in connection with the end of her term.

Among the highlights of the conversation were the excellent bilateral relations, the potential for the development of cooperation in the field of economy, investments, and tourism, as well as the opportunities for improving the transport connection between the two countries.

“Bulgaria and Montenegro are friendly countries that enjoy good and reliable bilateral co-operation”, Minister Genchovska said, stressing the strategic importance of the relations between the two countries as NATO members. On the issue of improving transport connectivity, the importance of completing the Trans-European Corridor No. 8 was emphasized, which is a priority for Bulgaria and essential for the Balkans and the Black Sea region.

Our Foreign Minister thanked Ambassador Radović for her efforts and activity during her tenure in Bulgaria. Her personal contribution to the intensification of cooperation between the two countries was highlighted. Teodora Genchovska expressed hope that relations between Bulgaria and Montenegro will continue to develop in the fields of healthcare, education, culture, youth and sports.
