Initiatives aimed at enhancing the people-to-people contacts and further developing the bilateral ties in the sphere of economy, trade, education, culture, etc. were discussed. The Honorary Consuls reiterated their readiness to continue working closely with the Bulgarian Embassy in Islamabad for the promotion of Bulgaria in the four provinces of Pakistan, as well as for identifying new forms of cooperation with good potential.
On 27 June 2022 the Bulgarian Embassy in Islamabad organized a meeting with the Honorary Consuls of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan – Mr. Aslam Khaliq with residence in the city of Karachi and consular jurisdiction over the territory of the provinces of Sindh and Balochistan, Mr. Saad Ali Khan with residence in the city of Lahore and consular jurisdiction over the territory of the province of Punjab and Mr. Faisal Saleem Rahman with residence in the city of Peshawar and consular jurisdiction over the territory of the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
