Meeting of Mrs. Nina Simova, Ambassador of Bulgaria to the Republic of Finland, with the Finnish-Bulgarian Friendship Society

On September 30, 2021, in the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Helsinki was held a meeting of Mrs. Nina Simova, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Republic of Finland, with the Board of Finnish-Bulgarian Friendship Society. The meeting was also attended by the staff of the Bulgarian Embassy.

Ambassador Simova and Mr. Tapani Salonen, Chairman of the Friendship Society, addressed short speeches to those present, which also contained an overview of what the Society has done during the year. In an informal conversation afterwards some of the planned upcoming joint activities were also discussed.

The Finnish-Bulgarian Friendship Society was founded in 1952. It already counts 700 members, who actively support and develop the contacts between our two countries by organizing cultural events, regular trips to Bulgaria and celebrating national holidays. In 2022, the Friendship Society will solemnly celebrate the 70-th anniversary of its establishment.
