Deputy Minister Velislava Petrova received copies of the Letters of Credence of the new Ambassador of Slovenia to Bulgaria

Ambassador Bergel outlined the European perspective of the countries in the region as Slovenia’s top priority. She also confirmed her country’s support for Bulgaria’s accession to Schengen, the Eurozone and the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Velislava Petrova received copies of the Letters of Credence of the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Slovenia to Slovenia Natasha Bergel.
The meeting reaffirmed the desire to continue the active bilateral political dialogue and deepen cooperation between the two countries in all areas of mutual interest. The possibility of improving transport connectivity between the two countries was also among the highlights of the talks.
The practice of mutual support of Bulgaria and Slovenia’s candidacies in important international and regional organizations was highly appreciated by both sides. Deputy Minister Petrova assured Ambassador Bergel that she could count on the assistance and support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs during her term of office.
