The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Irena Dimitrova received the Ambassador of Ukraine to Bulgaria Vitaly Moskalenko. The two parties discussed tensions over Ukraine, as well as joint EU-NATO efforts to de-escalate through diplomatic means.
In the course of conversation, areas for intensifying the cooperation between Bulgaria and Ukraine were outlined.
The Bulgarian side expressed its support to Ukraine’s independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders. Bulgaria’s support for Ukraine’s closer political association and economic integration with the EU was also confirmed.
