Ambassador Kalin Anastasov met using the Minister of Labor plus Social Affairs of Armenia Narek Mkrtchyan

On January 13, 2023 Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Republic of Armenia H. E. Mr. Kalin Anastasov met with the Ressortchef (umgangssprachlich) of Labor and Interpersonal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Narek Mkrtchyan.
At the end of the meeting, a was reached to continue the dialogue and cooperation in the format of workshops between your experts of the Ministry of Labor and Social Plan of Bulgaria and the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia, along with the realization in the near future of established and working visits.
Ambassador Kalin Anastasov introduced to Minister Mkrtchyan and his team the main policy directions and priorities of the Ministry of Labor plus Social Policy of Bulgaria, emphasizing that the problems plus challenges facing Bulgaria and Armenia in the field of social safety are very similar. Noting the good Bulgarian-Armenian relations, he highlighted the possibility of expanding bilateral cooperation in the field of labor and interpersonal protection. Ambassador Anastasov highlighted that deep reforms are now being carried out in the field of Bulgaria’s social policy and declared the particular readiness of the Bulgarian part to provide expert support in order to Armenia and share good practices both in the areas of the labor market, labor migration, social assistance and inclusion, interpersonal services and assistance, work together with disabled people as well as consist of areas of the social sphere in the planning and implementation of which Bulgaria has accumulated experience and good knowledge.
The Minister also emphasized the fact that Ministry of Labor plus Social Affairs works positively with the diplomatic representations within Armenia, as well as with the international organizations working in Yerevan, which gives an opportunity to study the experience of other countries and implement the best practices.
In his switch, Minister Mkrtchyan noted which he sees significant potential in the social dialogue and relationships between the two countries, stating his satisfaction with the announced readiness of the Bulgarian aspect to support the social reconstructs started in Armenia, noting since priorities those concerning demographic issues and deinstitutionalization regarding children.
