The event was attended by representatives of the Finnish Guard units and the Finnish-Bulgarian Friendship Society. In the presence of the official guests Finnish military music orchestra played the national anthems of Finland and Bulgaria as well as The March of the Old Guard and The Homecoming Song of the Finnish Guard.
Within the program of the event folklore ensemble “Cuckoo” performed folk songs and dances from different folklore regions of Bulgaria.
On 19th November 2022 in Helsinki was held a ceremony to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Finnish-Bulgarian Friendship Society in the Republic of Finland proceeded by a reception. The event was organized by the Finnish-Bulgarian Friendship Society and the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Republic of Finland.
А newly published book about the 70-year history of the Finnish-Bulgarian Friendship Society was presented and distributed to the guests.
Mrs. Nina Simova, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Republic of Finland, gave a speech in honour of the Anniversary. Speeches were delivered by the Chairman of the Finnish-Bulgarian Friendship Society Mr. Tapani Salonen and other members of the Society.
