13 European Ministers of Foreign Affairs, including the Bulgarian, have called on the European Commission to assist Eastern Partnership countries with COVID vaccines

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mrs. Ekaterina Zaharieva and her counterparts from 12 other EU Member States have called on the European Commission to assist the Eastern Partnership countries – Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine – with COVID vaccines, after the same act has already been done for the countries of the Western Balkans.

The letter of the 12 Ministers addressed to the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell and EU Commissioners for Health and Food Safety Stella Kyriakides and Neighborhood and Enlargement Oliver Varhelyi says: “Our borders will not be safe if we do not extend our support to our immediate neighbors. We are confident that our efforts will be appreciated by the Governments and civil society of the EU Eastern Partners and will increase the visibility of the geopolitical efforts of the Commission and of the whole EU.”.

The letter was signed by the foreign ministers of Bulgaria, Denmark, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, Finland, Croatia, the Czech Republic and Sweden.
