Meeting of Joint Committee of senior officials in Ministries of Foreign Affairs between GCC countries and Jordan
The meeting of the joint committee of senior officials in the Ministries of Foreign Affairs between the GCC countries and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan was held virtually on Monday, 25th January, 2021, and the cooperation council was chaired by the Undersecretary for Regional and GCC Affairs, Ambassador Waheed Mubarak Sayyar, and the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Ambassador Dr. Yousef Al Batayneh.
The meeting was opened by Ambassador Waheed Sayyar, with a speech in which he emphasized the importance of relations between the GCC countries and Jordan, due to the generous patronage from their Majesties and Highnesses, a common eagerness for more cooperation in supporting partnership for the benefit of all and facing common challenges, praising the constructive role of Jordan at the regional and international level.
During the meeting, views were exchanged on regional and international issues of common interest, the joint workflow between both sides was discussed in various fields, and the activities of the joint work were reviewed. It was agreed to extend the main plan for joint action between them and on the importance of implementing what was stated in the working group meetings, for the interest of both sides.
