CIWiL EXECUTIVES PAYS COURTESY CALL ON CARICOM AMBASSADOR

Caribbean Women in Leadership (CIWiL) Executives (Bahamas Chapter) paid a courtesy call on the Office of Her Excellency Leslia Brice The Bahamas Ambassador to CARICOM on November 16, 2021.

The discussions focused on a strategic partnership to advance the status of women and girls in the Country, opportunities available through CARICOM to promote the education and empowerment of women, and the National importance of strategies, public education, advocacy, and proposals to improve existing legislation and public policy to bring an end to gender-based violence. During the discussion, Her Excellency offered ideas to assist survivors of GBV including the establishment of a 24 hr WhatsApp hotline.
