At the request of Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg, a decision was taken at today’s meeting of the Council of Ministers to make new appointments to several Austrian representations abroad.
It was proposed that the following persons be entrusted with management functions abroad:

Ambassador Mag. Wilhelm DONKO as Head of the Austrian Embassy in Bangkok,
Ambassador Dr Maria ROTHEISER-SCOTTI as Head of the Austrian Embassy in Berne,
Ambassador Mag. Dr Stefan SCHOLZ as Head of the Austrian Embassy in Brasilia,
Ambassador Dr Andreas MELAN as Head of the Austrian Embassy in Buenos Aires,
Ambassador Mag.a Adelheid FOLIE, as Head of the Austrian Embassy in Bucharest,
Embassy Counsellor Mag. Dr Peter KROIS as Head of the Austrian Embassy in Damascus,
Ambassador Dr Hans Peter GLANZER as Head of the Austrian Embassy in Hanoi,
Consul General Josef SAIGER, BA, MA as Head of the Austrian Consulate General in Istanbul,

Envoy Karl MÜLLER as Head of the Austrian Embassy in Podgorica,
Counsellor Helmut RAKOWITSCH as Head of the Austrian Consulate General in Shanghai,
Envoy Mag. Wolf Dietrich HEIM as Head of the Austrian Embassy in Tehran and
Ambassador Mag. Andreas STADLER as Head of the Austrian Embassy in Warsaw.
The entrustment with the above-mentioned management functions will take place after obtaining the necessary approval from the receiving state and after issuance of the credentials by the Federal President.
