Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka, held a meeting this Thursday with the Italian Ambassador in Tirana, Mr. Fabrizio Bucci.
Minister Xhaçka appreciated the commitment of Ambassador Bucci and the Italian authorities in advocating and supporting Albania’s perspective in the European Union, while emphasizing that Albania is looking forward to holding the First IGC.
Chief diplomat Xhaçka stressed that Italy remains one of the main strategic partners of Albania and also one of its main donors. Furthermore, Minister Xhaçka stated that there is still a lot of potential to be used in the further intensification of economic cooperation and trade exchanges between the two countries.
Regarding the pandemic issue, Minister Xhaçka stated that both countries should coordinate steps to lift the pandemic measures, coupled with control measures to prevent the spread of the virus.
