Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka, welcomed the confirmation of Antony Blinken as U.S. Secretary of State.
According to Minister Xhaçka, the cooperation with Secretary Blinken will lead to the advancement of relations between Albania and the United States, as well as the consolidation of the strategic partnership.
Minister Xhaçka stressed that Albania remains grateful to the U.S. for its support in the democratization and integration processes of the country.
Antony Blinken was confirmed on Tuesday by the United States Senate as the new Secretary of State, following the victory of President Joe Biden.
