It is appropriate to remember this particular Albanian story of the recovery of the Jews not only because it makes us rightly happy but also because it teaches all of us how to defend human ideals, fight hatred, and battle anti-Semitism. The example of the Albanians during the war shows us the way to build a more tolerant and non-divisive globe.
