Genocide in Srebrenica, Minister Xhaçka supports the initiative to declare July 11 the Remembrance Day

More than 8 thousand people lost their lives as a result of the Srebrenica Genocide in 1995.
The initiative to declare July 11 the Remembrance Day of the Genocide in Srebrenica was discussed today in the Albanian Parliament.
“The genocide in Srebrenica deserves from all of us the utmost respect and treatment in the most solemn way possible and not manipulation for political purposes. Albania has maintained a clear principled position in relation to this terrible crime. We believe that these crimes must be condemned because otherwise the region we live in will never enjoy harmony and cooperation”, Minister Xhaçka said among others in the parliament today.
Minister Xhaçka congratulated the members of parliament for the initiative, as she called on everyone to approve it without hesitation in respect for the victims.
