This morning, a blast in the vicinity of the Consular Department gate of the Russian Embassy in Kabul resulted in the death of two Russian Embassy staff & injury of several locals.

MoFA-IEA condemns in the strongest terms this attack, expressing its deepest condolences & sympathy to the government & people of the Russian Federation, & the families of the victims.Our security has launched a comprehensive investigation, & will take further measures to safeguard the Embassy & prevent such probable incidents from hindering the Embassy’s activities.IEA has close relations with the Russian Federation & will not allow the enemies to sabotage relations between both countries with such negative actions.
