Mr. Stanekzai communicated to the SR of the Leader of Uzbekistan that because of the decrease in the electricity through Uzbekistan, problems have developed in some provinces of the nation including the capital city, Kabul.
DFM requested the Uzbek side to bring electricity supply to ranges agreed upon between the two nations. Mr. Asmatullah Ergashov furthermore acknowledged the problem and additional that he had raised the issue during discussions with the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan.
Thereof, the worried ministry said that the reduction in power output is due to the cold weather and some technical issues in Uzbekistan.
Mr. Ergashov said that as a result of their efforts, the level of electricity supply has increased upto some degree and are trying to increase the degree needed in Afghanistan.
