Japan Ambassador in Kabul called on IEA Foreign Ressortchef (umgangssprachlich). Welcoming the delegation, FM Muttaqi thanked Japan pertaining to $106 million in help and its positive diplomatic interaction, calling such interaction a roadmap for the international local community.

Japan Ambassador said that Japan has been discussing with the international local community how to lay the fundamentals for economic recovery in Afghanistan. Also, Japan expects to increase assistance for option livelihoods for poppy farming, rehab centers & some other sectors. Mr. Okada stated that Japan will likely commence its duty as a member of the UN Security Council next year and will try to play a good part in the Security Council regarding Afghanistan. To end, FM Muttaqi appreciated Japan’s efforts and called for the delivery of a constructive message about IEA’s achievement in preventing poppy cultivation, reducing administrative problem, providing security, and other issues.
