KABUL – The Islamic Republic of Afghanistan extends its profound sympathies to the government and fraternal people of Indonesia over the tragic loss of lives and large-scale destruction by a devastating earthquake that struck Sulawesi’s island this morning, leaving dozens killed and hundreds of others injured.
Saddened by the incident, the Afghan Foreign Minister Mohammad Haneef Atmar offers his sincere condolences to Foreign Minister H.E. Retno L.P Marsudi, the families and friends of the deceased, and the friendly nation of Indonesia.
We wish Allah’s mercy upon those who lost their lives and pray for the safety of those missing and the speedy recovery of those injured.
